A compact mahogany bowfront bureau has four exterior drawers and a petite interior drawer with several pigeon holes sitting alongside. Set on bracket feet and finished with brass hardware. It has been painted General Finishes Lamp Black Milk paint and Posh chalk byzantine Gold pigments. Finished with three coats of Polyvine varnish for protection.
The writing pad has been finished with a Dutch Masters floral and moody print, along with the back panel and interior drawer.
The contrast is striking and this is definitely a statement piece that will be a talking point.
This could be used as it was intended as a desk, it's certainly large enough to work and store a laptop. Equally, it could be used for storage in a hall or it would look fantastic in a bedroom as a dressing table due to the amount of storage for makeup or jewellery.
