This versatile professionally Upcycled Vintage Cocktail Cabinet can be used as intended, drinks, gin, or cocktail cabinet or indeed as a home office.

It has an upper cupboard with two fixed shelves, a pull-out serving shelf (over-slide), two drawers, and a lower cupboard. It comes with two working locks and one key which operates both locks It is finished with brass swan neck handles and escutcheons.

It has been professionally upcycled. This started by stripping everything down and thoroughly cleaning before sanding began. After sanding it was then cleaned again to ensure a clean surface to ensure the painted has a good key to adhere to. All the hardware was also removed and cleaned as well.

I chose a dark grey eggshell for the body of the cabinet as it complements the paper on the back panels and interior of the doors perfectly. The paper is an exotic botanical design showing jungle wildlife and vibrant tropical flowers, berries, and foliage, in rich tones of green, grey, and blue. It is very impactful and certainly a conversation piece in any room. All beading was finished with gold pigments to enhance the exterior while keeping it subdued enough to sit well with most colour schemes.

The interior has been given three coats of varnish to ensure that it is as hard-wearing as possible against the rigors of bottles and glasses.

I have fitted two movement-sensitive lights at the top and below the lower shelf of the upper cupboard. They offer wireless USB charging and motion sensor night light meaning that when the cupboard doors are opened the lights will automatically illuminate.

I mentioned previously that the cupboard could be used as a hideaway home office with the pull-out-over slide for the keyboard and the shelving for files. The lower cupboard could easily be used to house a printer. If you must have a home office why not have one that is bright, bold, and cheerful!

This is a genuine vintage piece of furniture and has had a previous life and a story to tell. Therefore, it may have minor imperfections relative to its age and wear and tear over the years. This will not affect its function or detract from its beauty.
