Designed by John and Sylvia Reid who were both working architects, and gained valuable experience working for influential British designer Robin Day and Hille in the early 1950s.
They were asked to design a range of furniture for Stag, and fostered a 10-year partnership between 1952 and 1962 with the manufacturer by British furniture makers Stag and made from African cherry wood.

This has been lovingly refurbished. Work began with it being cleaned, sanded, and cleaned again.
It was then been painted with General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint, which gives a very smooth and sleek finish and is hardwearing.
In all, it had three coats of paint before having two coats of varnish of Polyvine satin wax finish varnish applied.
The original Stag circular handles have been cleaned and re fitted.
