This MCM chest of drawers has four drawers which give ample storage for whichever room it's used in.

Certainly, it's a bold, and striking statement piece.

This was completely scrubbed clean and then sanded to ensure a sound surface for the paint to adhere to. New gold hairpin legs were added which made all the difference to the balance of the proportions of the chest.

It was painted with an eggshell by Little Greene called Shift which is a very dark grey almost black with moss green undertones. It was formulated to resist moisture, staining, and general wear and tear, Intelligent Eggshell has a tough yet subtle finish and is a superb paint for woodwork. It has a beautiful subtle sheen. It had three in all before the gold banana leaf detailing was added. Finally, two coats of Polyvine varnish were applied to ensure a lasting finish.

As with all vintage or antique furniture, there may be some wear and tear but this only enhances the look and of course.
