Cocktail, gin, drinks, glass, bedroom, or bathroom cabinet. This is versatile Art Deco cabinet has many uses. It would look lovely with towels and perfumes as much as gin and vodka.
A beautiful Art Deco cabinet that has a working lock and comes with the original key. It has two glass shelves at fixed heights which can be used to store glasses bottles etc.
The preparation was to strip it down by removing all the hardware and also the back panel. The back panel was replaced along with the legs. It was then scrubbed clean and rinsed before sanding began. Once sanded, it was cleaned again before painting began.
It was painted, both inside and outside. So when opened it looks as beautiful on the inside as it does on the outside. I chose an eggshell by Little Greene called Drift which is a very dark l grey almost black with moss green undertones. It was formulated to resist moisture, staining, and general wear and tear, Intelligent Eggshell has a tough yet subtle finish and is a superb paint for woodwork. It has a beautiful subtle sheen.
The hinges and escutcheon have been cleaned, sanded, and painted in gold along with the fan style detailing on the doors.
As with all vintage or antique furniture, there may be some wear and tear but this only enhances the look and of course, anything obvious is mentioned with photographs added.
