A beautiful glass cabinet ideal for glasses and bottles. Although, it would look lovely with towels and perfumes as much as gin and vodka. This really is an eye-catching piece of furniture
It has a working lock and comes with the original key. It has two glass shelves at fixed heights. Set on ball and claw Queen Anne style leg. This has a good amount of storage with the shelves being well spaced to allow for the height of bottles.
The preparation was to strip it down by removing all the hardware and also the back panel. It was then scrubbed clean and rinsed before sanding began. Once sanded, painting began.
It was professionally painted, both inside and outside. So when opened it looks as beautiful on the inside as it does on the outside. I chose an eggshell by Little Greene called Lamp black which is a very dark charcoal grey almost black. It was formulated to resist moisture, staining and general wear and tear, Intelligent Eggshell has a tough yet subtle finish and is a superb paint for woodwork. It has a beautiful subtle sheen. The hardware was then cleaned, sanded and sprayed in gold to pick up on the gold in the paper.
The back panel has been finished with Art Deco style black, grey and gold paper.
As with all vintage or antique furniture, there may be some wear and tear but this only enhances the look and of course.
