A beautiful cabinet ideal for glasses and bottles. Although, it would look lovely with towels and perfumes as much as gin and vodka. This really is an eye-catching piece of furniture
It has two fixed shelves at fixed heights. Set on unusual Art Deco feet. This cabinet is typical of the Art Deco period styling. This has a good amount of storage with the shelves being well spaced to allow for the height of bottles.
The preparation was to strip it down by removing all the hardware and also the back panel. It was then scrubbed clean and rinsed before sanding began. Once sanded, it was cleaned again before painting began.
It was professionally painted, both inside and out, so when opened it looks as beautiful on the inside as it does on the out. I chose an eggshell paint by Little Greene in a very dark grey. It was formulated to resist moisture, staining, and general wear and tear, Intelligent Eggshell has a tough yet subtle finish and is a superb paint for woodwork. It has a beautiful subtle sheen.
The hardware was then cleaned to restore it to its original colour.
The back panel has been finished with Art Deco style black, grey, and gold paper, which complements the paint color and cabinet style.
As with all vintage or antique furniture, there may be some wear and tear but this only enhances the look and of course.
Please note: It is recommended that this is attached to a wall to ensure that it cant be pulled forward.
